NOAA People - NWS Meteorologist Has ‘Weather Eye’ for Climate Record
Kimberly Buttrick, Penn State Meteorology alumnus and a meteorologist with the National Weather Service Southern New England Forecast Office in Taunton, Mass., was recently awarded NOAA’s Isaac Cline Award in Hydrology for her outstanding leadership in revitalizing the region’s arm of the NWS Cooperative Observer Program (COOP).
Kimberly Buttrick began her career in the United States Air Force working for the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program. She continued in the Air National Guard, retiring after 22 years as a weather officer. Buttrick joined the National Weather Service
