Upcoming PSUBAMS/PSUCNWA events:

• On April 22nd, we will be heading to Easterly Parkway Elementary School to give a weather presentation to a group of 3rd and 4th graders at 1pm. If you are interested in helping out email Meredith (man5187@psu.edu) for more details.

   

• On April 22nd, at 7:30pm in 103 Walker we will be going over what to expect at the National Weather Association annual meeting in October and hand out applications to apply. We will be funding 4 students from PSUBAMS/PSUCNWA as well as 4 from Campus Weather Service. The National Weather Association annual meeting focuses on broadcast and operational meteorology unlike the American Meteorological Society annual meeting in January which focuses primarily on research.

   

• On Friday, April 25th we will helping with Arbor Day at the Penn State Arboretum during the midday hours. The event draws in roughly 540 4th graders and we will be in charge of a weather station. This is the perfect event to get outside on the last day of classes and help fascinate kids with different weather experiments. Last year if you signed up early, they provided us with a free bag lunch so there's some incentive to help out! We will have more details to come as the event approaches but if you want to help out, please email our Community Outreach Chair, Jake DeFlitch (jod5200@psu.edu).
